Dining Room Reopens October 2022

Letter from the owners, Vanessa & Christopher Garrido:

Dear friends and potential patrons,

 

Thank you for your interest and for coming to our website!

 

For those of you that didn’t know, Garrido’s Bistro is a family-owned and operated restaurant. This means that we, Vanessa and Christopher, are part of the staff that cooks for and serves our customers. We love doing business this way, because it allows us to get to know all our customers and cook for them with the same care and quality as we do for our family. It also means that whatever affects our family also affects the restaurant, and we are not exempt from life events.

 

In February of this year, we had the great joy of welcoming our first child into the world, a beautiful baby girl named Adela Cristina, in honor of both her grandmothers. She is a sweet and happy soul that fills our hearts.

 

Our plan was for her “Yaya”, Grandma Adela, to look after her these first few months of life. But sadly, grandma became very ill last December and ultimately passed away at the end of March. For this reason, we are bringing our baby to work with us at the restaurant.

 

She is still very young, so in order to protect her health, we decided to only offer Curbside until October 2022. At that time, we expect she will be well on her way with the regular immunizations, and we pray she will have access to a COVID19 vaccine as well. She will also be a little older and we could feel more comfortable leaving her with a nanny or babysitter.

 

This was a difficult decision for us to make, because it reduces the sales of the restaurant after 2 years of struggling through the pandemic, and at the same time, reduces our only family income at a time when we have medical bills and more financial responsibilities. We are trusting the Lord’s provision and grace in doing what is right for our family.

 

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this causes to all our customers, and greatly appreciate your support and patronage.
